The third session of the roadshow webinar of the GBinvest secretariat along with its partners was held on Feb 09, 2022 for the targeted group of South East Asia. The opening of the webinar was followed by GB promotional video. 

Mr. Syed Jalal Uddin-RF introduced the participants to the panel. He introduced Mr. Aziz Ahmed Jamali-Additional Chief Secretary GB to the Panel. Mr. Jamali aims to attract the investors from around the globe to invest in the potential sectors of GB. He said, “GB is a newly emerging Province, has partial political delegation and is located at the northern corner of Pakistan and hence do not catch the eyes of investors easily”. Mr. Jamali pointed the prime potential sectors of GB including Agricultural sectors, Tourism sectors, Eco-tourism, Minerals and Mines. 

Raja Nasir Ali Khan-GB Minister Tourism shared his visions and aims regarding the tourism sectors. 

Mr. Syed Jalal Uddin explained the GBinvest drive is a private drive supported by the Government of Gilgit Baltistan (GoGB), Rupani Foundation (RF), Re-Energia and three Academic Institutions (The PIDE, Baltistan University and KIU).

Keynotes were presented by Mr. Nasruddin Rupani-Chairman Rupani Foundation. He shared his experience and visions. He appreciated the teams of their hard work to make this event happening. He asked the participants to join in the upcoming roadshow webinar that is happening on Feb 13, 2022. The 4th roadshow webinar on Feb 13, 2022 is designed for different regions around the globe that aims to provide enriching knowledge on impact-driven investment, promising domains of impact investments in Gilgit-Baltistan, and their positive impact on mountain communities and environment, opportunity to interact with our partner organizations, and further insights from our key speaker’s perspective.

At the end of the webinar Ms. Irum-Reenergia paid vote of thanks and Mr. Syed Jalal-RF took questions from the participants. 

 

Traning in Early Childhood Care and Eduction (ECCE)

 

Training professionals in Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) is one of the major skill development components of Rupani Foundation. Hundreds of young women participate in these professional courses offered at our AWIP centers and virtually in multiple districts of Gilgit Baltistan and Sindh, to gain expertise and course certificates. 

The 7th cohort of our one-month-long ECD Certificate course which will potentially return to their communities and make a difference, was conducted by Rupani Foundation academic team in Gilgit, Gahkuch and Skardu for the young women of the region affiliated either with ECCE or are willing to be part of ECCE Program in the future. The trainings started in the 2nd week of January and were concluded in February. 

The Global Program Director, Syed Jalaluddin Shah, CEO, Waseem Samad, Mr. Muhammad Darjat, and other representatives participated in the joyful event to congratulate and encourage the participants of the training.
